Remember the movie Fame? You might remember the motion picture or maybe the popular TV series, but I'm certain you remember the theme song. Remember? Remember? Irene Cara? Any of this ring a bell?

Besides it'll help the following story make much more sense.

So, we take Preston to go see Up at the theatre. One of the previews just happen to be the new movie Fame (a remake of course). They play the theme song throughout the entire trailer.

Here's the last thing we hear as the screen fades to black:

Just as the theatre gets quiet and we're all poised for the movie to finally start, Preston calls out:

"What was their name?"

Extreme Bloggy Makeover

So say it with me... "Bus driver, move that bus!"

Look up there! That's right! I've got a brand spankin' new blog header. Isn't it purty? I'm very happy with it. It even has one of those nifty sub-headings (or is it a bi-line?). It's incredible how long I agonized over those few simple words as evidenced by reading here, here, oh and here. Anybody think that Elaine is still reading to finally get an answer to her question? No, probably not.

Now if you're like my mom and was peeking around earlier you may have seen a completely different header up there. I was just trying one on for size when one of the two children distracted me (or it could have been the hubs) and I forgot to take my "tester" down. In the meantime inspiration struck and this was the end result. Far better than the first one, trust me.

Cute or Creepy?

See that little widget on the left hand column? The one that says "Countdown To Baby!"? Well I added it a while back because I had seen it on other blogs and thought it was kind of a cute way to keep everybody informed on how the baby was doing. When I installed it, I played around with the due dates just to see how accurate the development of the baby in the virutal womb was. Sorry to disappoint but you won't be seeing much change in virtual baby. It pretty much looks the same now as it will at nine months. So even though my belly will be full with baby and there won't be much wiggle room, virtual baby will still look as though it resides in the world's largest uterus. Uhm... ok.



So what do you think of virtual baby over there? Cute or creepy? Keep it or lose it? I want to hear from you, you're the ones that have to look at it.

Just kidding! I have to give my friend Karen over at Shama-lama Mama a hard time about not posting her photos from her trip to Hawaii yet. Oh sure, she's got plenty of excuses. Something about packing, moving, taking care of 3 boys, and some other nonsense. Whatever! Get with it girlfriend! ;)

Although my friendly banter (aka pestering) did result in her mentioning me in her blog not once but seven times! She only mentioned her mom once. How cool am I?

However, pay no attention to the fact that my blog had not been updated in a couple of weeks. I could just say that I'm so deprived of photos of palm trees and endless beaches that I can't bring myself to blog. Yeah, that's it!
